एक किसान था उसके चार लड़के थे | किसान अपने परिवार के साथ ख़ुशी – ख़ुशी रहता था | समय गुजरता रहा और एक दिन किसान बूढ़ा हो गया | किसान के लड़के भी अब बड़े हो गए | लेकिन किसान के लड़के आपस में झगड़ा करते रहते थे | एक दिन किसान के लड़के किसान के पास आया और बोला पिताजी हमलोग अलग होना चाहते हैं | किसान को ये बात सुनकर बहुत दुखी हो गया | किसान ने अपने लड़को को बोला की कल वो सबको अलग – अलग कर देगा सबकुछ बाट देगा | सभी लड़के चले गए |

किसान अब सोच रहा था की ऐसा क्या किया जाए जिससे सभी बच्चे उसके साथ रहे | किसान ने एक तरकीब निकली | अगले दिन जब उसके बच्चे आये तो उसने सभी को बोला की एक – एक लकड़ी का टुकड़ा लाने के लिए | सभी लड़को ने एक – एक टुकड़ा ले के आगया | उसके बाद किसान ने बोला की चारो टुकड़े को एक साथ बांधने के लिए | लड़को ने लकड़ी टुकड़ो को एक साथ बांध दिया |

अब किसान ने बोला की अब बंधे हुए लकड़ी के टुकड़ो को तोरने के लिए | बारी – बारी से लड़को ने तोरना शुरू किया लेकिन कोई तोर नहीं पा रहा था लकड़ी के टुकड़े को | अब किसान ने बोला सब को अलग – अलग करके तोरने के लिए | अलग किये हुए टुकड़े को लड़को ने तोर दिया |

अब किसान ने अपने लड़को से बोला तुम्हे इससे क्या सिख मिला लेकिन लड़को को कुछ समझ नहीं आया | फिर किसान ने उनको समझाया देखो एक साथ रहने से तुम लकड़ी के टुकड़ो को नहीं तोर पाए लेकिन अलग करने पर तुमलोगो ने आराम से तोर दिया | इसलिए इससे ये सिख मिलता हैं की एकता में बल होता हैं | किसान के लड़को को समझ में आ गया था किसान क्या कहना चाहता था | उसके बाद सभी लड़के एक साथ रहने लगे |

There is strength in unity, a beautiful educational story

There was a farmer who had four sons. The farmer lived happily with his family. Time kept passing and one day the farmer became old. The farmer’s sons have also grown up now. But the farmer’s sons kept fighting among themselves. One day the farmer’s son came to the farmer and said, father, we want to separate. The farmer became very sad after hearing this. The farmer told his sons that tomorrow he will separate everyone and distribute everything. All the boys have gone.

The farmer was now thinking what to do so that all the children stay with him. The farmer came up with an idea. Next day when his children came, he asked everyone to bring a piece of wood each. All the boys brought one piece each. After that the farmer asked to tie the four pieces together. The boys tied the wooden pieces together.

Now the farmer said to break the tied pieces of wood. One by one the boys started breaking but no one was able to break the piece of wood. Now the farmer asked everyone to be sorted separately. The boys broke the separated piece.

Now the farmer asked his boys, what did you learn from this, but the boys did not understand anything. Then the farmer explained to them, look, by staying together you could not break the pieces of wood, but when separated, you broke them easily. Therefore, we learn from this that there is strength in unity. The farmer’s sons understood what the farmer wanted to say. After that all the boys started living together.
